Petition updateQLD Health: My son’s suicide could have been avoided - educate emergency staff on suicidal patients
Powerful coverage of my petition on 7.30 Report - keep the pressure on!

Last night the 7.30 Report shared my story of losing my beautiful boy Chris to suicide after being turned away from emergency care.
The Federal Government’s own report on mental health was leaked to the ABC. The findings - yet to be made public - reveal/admit that the government’s current approach to mental health is an absolute shambles! This mess needs to be addressed if we are to avoid more deaths of loved ones.
My desperate plea for government to more effectively address mental health and suicide care in both hospitals and communities was argued - I am so thrilled about the message being out there but we need to keep pushing!
You can watch the news piece via the following link -

Please 'share' it to the Facebook pages of the QLD Minister for Health Cameron Dick - https://www.facebook.com/Labor4Woodridge- and the QLD Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk - https://www.facebook.com/APalaszczukMP?fref=ts - pleading with them to implement specialised training for hospital staff on suicide and commit to greater community care.
Thank you so much for all your support.
Kerrie xx
