Suicide is one of the most traumatic experiences anyone can have. Whether you’ve witnessed it or lost a loved one, it can be incredibly emotionally difficult. Most entertainment has warnings for smoking and alcohol, but nothing for suicide. Adding a suicide warning label to movies or television shows would take almost no effort on the part of the studios and production companies and give survivors the opportunity to decide for themselves if they feel up to watching something that may trigger traumatic memories.

Please place a content warning regarding suicide on all media content so that survivors and families know ahead of time and can choose how best to approach the content for their unique situation. 

Once this petition garners enough signatures to inspire people to listen and help, I will share it with studio executives and other industry leaders.
