Hey Everyone,
Happy Super Bowl Sunday! I wanted to share three things with you.
First is that Disney is reducing content spending by $1 billion. The number of new originals being released on linear and streaming has drastically reduced in the past year or so. Reducing the amount of content being created is also going to help some of its established franchises, like Marvel and Star Wars, as fans have become worn out by too many releases. Disney has also been effective in bringing down the budgets on its projects. This strategy could be a great opportunity for Disney+ to add more nostalgic and classic Disney content that we have been requesting.
Second is that this petition now has 3,700 signatures! (That is 300 short of 4,000.) Keep up the good work with signing and sharing.
Finally, I want to express my disappointment in Disney+ for not including some of the following content relating to Black History Month. Such a missed opportunity. (This is why we need to keep making our voices heard.)
- Selma, Lord, Selma
- Fillmore!
- John Henry (2000 Short Film)
- One By One (2004 Short)
- Teamo Supremo
