The Issue

I’m 57 years old—and I’m still playing to win.

I’ve been a Survivor fan from the beginning, and for years I’ve wanted the chance to step onto that beach and see what I can do. I’ve applied to be on the show, and I’m not ready to stop trying.

Competition has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I played football at the University of Rhode Island and was elected captain of the 1992 team. I later played and coached American football in Vienna, Austria. At 40, I completed an Ironman. For the past 25 years, I’ve built and run my own business.

But there’s another side of me that’s just as important: I know how to have fun. I believe in working hard and playing hard. I love to brew my own beer, I love to party, and I’m always looking for the next adventure.

At 57, I’m not asking Survivor to overlook my age. I’m embracing it.

Bob Crowley proved that someone my age can not only compete on Survivor, but actually win it. He was 57 when he won Survivor: Gabon and became the show’s oldest winner. Now I’m coming for his title.

I still train. I still compete. I still love a challenge. And I believe some of the best things in life happen when you refuse to tell yourself you’re too old to go after something you’ve always wanted.

Now I’m asking you to help show Survivor that there are people who want to see me get my shot.

I’m reaching out across the United States and around the world to friends, former teammates, business connections and Survivor fans who believe I belong on that beach.

I’m not asking for an advantage. I’m asking for an opportunity to compete—and a chance to take the title of oldest Survivor winner.

Put Mark on Survivor — 57 and Still Playing to Win.
