Dear EBRPSS Supporters,
Tomorrow at 5PM the School Board will discuss and vote on Dr. Narcisse's contract which will be extended three more years if passed. The financial package is ridiculous when compared to national and regional averages for superintendents. The graph above shows the salaries with years of experience on the left column and types of degrees listed horizontally at the top. It is insulting to our faculty to pay Dr. Narcisse $410,000 per year. Two stock annuities are included in the offer as well as a vehicle and tech support. Members Lanus and Gaudet are the chief authors of this financial package which is more appropriate for a CEO of a lucrative company.
Meanwhile, many schools are in shambles with dilapidated bathrooms. overcrowded classrooms, and bleak painting and landscaping. There is a shortage of bus drivers and those who do work for EBRPSS are underpaid. What do you notice on your campus? Our faculty and staff deserve better wages and working conditions.
There are several actions you can take. Show up at 1050 S. Foster Drive tomorrow and sign a card and /or speak. Email all School Board members with your opinion.
