Throughout the year, numerous animals have been killed or harmed. Stray dogs and cats are only a few of the animals that are familiar to us that have fallen prey to a vicious individual. Take into consideration, however, some animals who are victims of these heinous acts, such as seals.

A large number of seals are violently battered to death or shot by hunters each year on Canadian ice floes in order to gain access to the fur they provide for their fur coats. Ninety percent to ninety-seven percent of the seals murdered are less than 12 days old, and they have not even had their first meal yet. Baby seals are vulnerable and have no method of escaping from the rifles and clubs of sealers who hunt them. Hunters target baby seals because their skins are in excellent condition and they can command the highest price for them. In other words, sealers prefer to kill newborn seals since their pelts are more valuable.

It is cruel and inhumane. Oftentimes, the seals are not totally dead after being beaten, and they die an agonizing death as they are beaten. A number of conscious pups have been choked on their own blood.
