The world's worst humanitarian crisis. Imagine having your country be labeled like that, it's sad. Yemen has been labeled "the world's worst humanitarian crisis" for many reasons. According to Islamic Relief USA, "More than 20 million people are at risk for famine, and aid agencies are desperately funneling as much aid as possible to at-risk families." This shows just how bad it really is in Yemen. I want to help families there. They deserve the simple necessities that we all have, like food, clean water, clean clothes, shelter, and many other things. Yemen is one of the earth's oldest inhabited areas. It used to be a beautiful country that was prosperous and safe for all people. I remember spending my summer there as a child with my cousins. We would walk to the stores with change that our parents gave us and buy candy. Spending our days playing in the parks was always fun. I remember all the family dinners and walking through the city of Sanaa looking at all the beautiful buildings. Life was safe and we were all happy. Now you cant go out without fearing that you will get shot or kidnapped. I contacted an organization called Pure Hands. Pure hands is a nonprofit organization that delivers humanitarian aid to those in Yemen. They help with food distributions, medical supplies, providing emergency water sanitation, hygiene services, and many other things.
