It’s been over two years (November 2013) since a friend and I went to this place under the guise of “looking for 2 lab puppies” after hearing from several people that purchased dogs from this place. We both went to this place to find out what the conditions were. This guy has been doing this for many, many years and we’re sure most people in the Tulare area have seen his signs. He has done everything underhanded to keep his “business” running. After all these years, we’re sure he thinks he’s above the law and doesn’t need to answer for anything. We cannot imagine the many animals that have suffered at the hands of this con artist. Over the years, we’ve ended up with quite a few of his dogs. Not like he discriminates to whom the dogs go to as long as they have the money. We found out when the paperwork linked back to him. His kennels are disgusting, the mothers live in a small area, in a box with their puppies and we’re sure they are bred every heat. They are underweight and in poor condition. One had huge tumors hanging from her breasts and he still let the puppies feed. Feces is just scraped to the back of the kennel and into the dirt. Puppies crawl around in their own waste. There is no way that he and his side kick exercise the dogs. They are only there for one purpose, to make money for him. He indicated several times that when mothers die during birth, he usually has another bitch lactating to do the job. He not only breeds Labradors but also Shepherds, Chihuahua’s, fluffies, scruffies, doodles, doxi’s, poodles – anything popular that will sell. In the back of his kennels were the males. Too many of them in one area with filthy mud to live in, some had a dog house that was in poor condition but otherwise they got a filthy water bucket. We imagine all those males got into it often enough by the look of them. If a female came into heat, they probably all went nuts being unaltered and in the same cage. The females who are forced to mate have marks and scars on their faces and are in poor condition. The pups are not socialized properly and kept in their small enclosures until sold.

Over the past 2 years we have received several reports from either someone that had gotten a puppy and the dog had a lot of problems, or someone that went there and found the place disgusting. We recently took yet another dog that someone surrendered to rescue with his paperwork indicating he came from this place.

During the end of 2015, we received a call from a woman that had purchased what she thought were 3 and 4 year old female Labradors from him. She took to her vet who indicated the dogs were much older and in very poor condition, had been bred far too many times. She was furious and called the county offices. Not sure if she got anywhere – we sure didn’t. She says his side kick lied to her about the dogs and was extremely rude. He posts ads in the local papers all the time. This lady indicated that she found out he has several properties. She believes that whomever is living at those properties is also breeding for him. To top it off, he is or was some kind of preacher. His FB states Bishop at Abundant Life Center. Sickening!

We met with city/county officials in December of 2013. When we met with them we provided them each with a binder that included puppy mill information along with two letters from local veterinarians and copies of all the pictures. We were promised that this would be looked in to. Obviously nothing has changed and he’s still pumping out puppies.

Codes obviously need to change in this area if the way he operates is acceptable! We were able to take quite a few pictures and have a copy of what we presented, but at some point correspondence stopped. We are tired of waiting for something to be done. We can only imagine what’s happened to the poor mama dogs we saw there. The picture of the yellow lab looking out of her box of a home will haunt me forever. This guy needs to be shut down and it seems the only way is public outcry!!
Call county leaders - call your congressman. Please help shut this guy down once and for all!!!
