Great job! Thanks for all of your support! By the time you read this, over 3,000 will have signed the Petition - "Don't Let the Music Die In Downtown Punta Gorda!" Let's get to our goal of 5,000 by midnite tonight.
As you know, one individual was responsible for 1/2 of the loud noise complaints! And while the Restaurant and Bar Owners all want to be good neighbors - keeping the music going until 11pm - is vital to their success.
Here are some things to think about:
1. Before Hurricane Charley, 22% of Punta Gorda was Commercial, now it is 8% - less Commercial means higher taxes for residential.
2. The individual complained about Laishley Park and City Marketplace Music. The majority of local concert promoters give back to non-profits in Charlotte County. The Block Party and the Veteran's Country Hoedown by Smuggler's are great examples.
3. West Villages with the Atlanta Braves stadium will have concerts and many will be driving past Punta Gorda - if the "Music Dies In Downtown Punta Gorda"
Again, thanks for your support! Keep Sharing the Petition!
