On June 19, 2023, my beloved cat, MAVI, tragically lost its life when a neighbor carelessly drove an oversized SUV at high speeds in a residential area.

While we were calling our cat to come to us, a reckless driver approached from a nearby distance, driving fast and without concern for safety. Despite the presence of numerous people on the road, the driver did not brake and fled the scene after hitting our cat. Our cat passed away within seconds. We reported the incident to the local police, but unfortunately, they have shown no interest in pursuing justice for our beloved pet, despite the overwhelming evidence and seriousness of the situation.

In my quest for justice, I confronted the individual responsible, whom I refer to as the "PET KILLER," in an effort to make them understand the pain we are going through. Knowing that such individuals are typically only affected by monetary penalties, I requested that they cover the funeral expenses and compensate me for the emotional damage which would be directly donated to a cat charity.

As expected, the individual dismissed my plea, expecting to get away with a mere few hundred pounds, citing UK laws that seemingly render me powerless in this situation. (Ironically, the person in question owns two dogs themselves!)

Based on research, similar petitions are rejected earlier by decision makers claiming that over 200 K similar incidences annually will create a burden for the police! 

Going forward, we are determined to create an easy-to-adopt solution to the problem. There are many MPs supporting our cause as well.

We just need more support from you not to be taken lightly.
