Publish Missing Mr. Men Little Miss Characters as Physical Books in the UK

The Issue

The Mr. Men and Little Miss Series is an important part of British Culture. They were created by Roger Hargreaves in 1971, starting with Mr. Tickle and have reached over 80 characters, with the help of Adam Hargreaves and Sanrio. What if I were to tell you there were more than the characters on the back of the books?

Have you have been in a shop and seen a mug or been into McDonald's and seen a character you haven't seen anywhere before? Well those characters are likely to be Mr. Marvellous, Little Miss Fabulous and Little Miss Sparkle.

These characters were created in 2016 to celebrate the Mr. Men and Little Miss 45th anniversary and had a limited release in the UK as EBooks but managed to become physical books over the past few years in France, Spain and Germany but haven't managed as of yet to be published in the UK as physical books (something very important for children across the world as well as the UK).

There are also characters in France (crested by Viviane Cohen, Evelyne Lallemand, Colette David). Some of these characters made it over to the UK such as Little Miss Quick, Little Miss Curious, Mr. Brave, Mr. Perfect and Mr. Grumble (some of which are very important and cultural to children of the UK and around the world and shouldn't be removed however there are some which, as of yet, have not published in the UK, although with some of those books and storylines they wouldn't see fit within the UK audiences in the 2020s (like Monsieur Bagurreur, as he is seen getting to fights with other Mr. Men and Little Misses) but others from France like Monsieur Non (Mr. No), Madame Oui (Little Miss Yes), Madame Prudente and Madame Genial would be nice to have in the UK, translated from France, as physical books as well (even as a limited edition release). Some of these characters also did appear in the 1990s and were given names and have been found on jigsaws and learning cards, whether a mistake or not, they can be seen as fitting in alongside other Mr. Men and Little Miss characters

I can only see benefits to this:

- There would be more equality between the Little Misses as they would get a more equal share of books and titles compared to the Mr. Men leading ahead by over 10.

- There would also be a brand new range of Mr. Men and Little Miss Characters never seen before as books in the UK for Children to explore and learn about and the morals of their story

- Those characters could also be featured in future books and lead the way lots of new and different plots along with the old favourites as well.

- Those characters (although Little Miss Fabulous is featured on lots) would also make interesting products for children and also for the adult generation who grew up with the original characters.

- Adam Hargreaves' characters Mr. Marvellous, Little Miss Fabulous and Little Miss Sparkle and some of the French Characters (by Viviane Cohen, Evelyne Lallemand, Colette David) would also be acknowledged within the UK and get offical credit and merchandise alongside the other famous characters.

I wish to show the people of Sanrio (the owners of the Mr. Men) and Farshore (an imprint of HarperCollins Publishing; and publisher of the Mr. Men Little Miss series) that these books need to be published alongside the rest of the Mr. Men and Little Miss Characters to be official members of the crew within the UK rather than outsiders.

I wish nothing but the absolute best for the Mr. Men Little Miss as characters and as a brand but I think with the support of some new and additional characters it would be able to push the brand and the characters further that possible now. That is why I have made this petition to try and help the Mr. Men and Little Miss Brand as well also introducing the this generation of children and the next generation of children to more Mr. Men Little Miss characters and stories.
