Public Request for MEMU Train Halt at Sithouli Railway Station
The Issue
I would like to draw your kind attention towards the stoppage pattern of MEMU trains at Sithouli Railway Station and request necessary action in the interest of students and daily commuters.
Sithouli is an important educational area near Gwalior, where several colleges and institutes are located. Every day, a large number of students and passengers travel from Jhansi, Datia, Dabra, and nearby regions to reach these institutions. However, the current stoppage timings of MEMU trains at Sithouli are creating serious inconvenience for daily commuters.
Train No. 11807 MEMU Express, which runs from Jhansi towards Agra/Gwalior in the morning, does not stop at Sithouli station and directly proceeds to Gwalior. Due to the absence of a stoppage, students travelling from Jhansi, Datia, and Dabra are unable to deboard at Sithouli and are forced to travel till Gwalior and then return through buses or local transport. This results in unnecessary travel time, financial burden, overcrowding, and daily inconvenience.
Similarly, Train No. 11808 MEMU Express, which operates in the evening from the Gwalior/Agra side towards Jhansi, also does not stop at Sithouli station. Because of this, students returning home after college hours towards Datia, Dabra, and Jhansi are unable to use this train conveniently.
At the same time, Train No. 11902 already stops at Sithouli during morning operations from the Gwalior/Agra side, which clearly indicates that a stoppage at Sithouli is operationally feasible and beneficial for passengers.
Considering the large number of students and daily commuters dependent on railway connectivity in this region, it is humbly requested that proper stoppages for Train Nos. 11807 and 11808 MEMU Express be provided at Sithouli Railway Station in the morning and evening timings respectively.
This small change will provide major relief to thousands of students and regular passengers and will significantly improve daily public transportation connectivity in the area.
Kindly consider this request sympathetically and take necessary action at the earliest.
