Now the top level of Council Officers are going to get a 4% pay rise backdated to April even though the elected councillors turned the recommendation down! Residents PLEASE encourage other residents to sign and share this petition. This plainly demonstrates NOTHING HAS CHANGED! WE DESPERATELY NEED AN INDEPENDENT INQUIRY!

The Panorama programme, aired on the 31st July 2023, left Thurrock residents angry and frustrated. It is now imperative that the residents demand for a full Independent Inquiry into the financial collapse sustained by Thurrock Council, due to its mismanagement of public funds by Council Officers and the lack of governance from its elected Councillors, is met. Also for an Independent Inquiry into the conduct of both Council Officers and Councillors during meetings when decisions are made concerning the  future of Thurrock residents.

We also demand that once the public Independent Inquiry has been completed the findings are handed over to the Police Commissioner for further investigation to identify if any fraudulent practices have taken place.
