New York State Parole Officers
01.07.2023

After 3 years of the Public Employees Federation (PEF) ignoring our petition to join the New York State Correctional Officers & Police Benevolent Association (NYSCOPBA), the Freedom Foundation took notice and agrees that Parole Officers should be represented by a law enforcement union.

According to their website, the Freedom Foundation is more than a think tank. They’re a battle tank that’s battering the entrenched power of left-wing government union bosses who represent a permanent lobby for bigger government, higher taxes, and radical social agendas.

Through education, litigation, legislation, and community activation they have liberated public employees from political exploitation.

For years, public employees in New York have been forced to pay union dues or fees as a condition of employment, allowing unions like PEF to take their members for granted.

However, because of the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision in Janus v. AFSCME (2018), public employees can no longer be required to financially support a labor union against their will.

Thanks to our dedicated 1207 petition supporters, our voices are being heard and we’re starting to receive media coverage via the article below.
