The Prince George’s County Animal Services Facility and Adoption Center is failing our community, our taxpayers, and the vulnerable animals depending on us for survival.

Under the current direction of David Fisher, there is an alarming absence of transparency, and the reality inside the shelter is the exact opposite of what leadership claims.

We are facing systemic deception and severe administrative misconduct:

 * Deceptive Public Statements: Leadership has manipulatively and intentionally lied to the public regarding facility improvements, falsely claiming the addition of new kennels while proof demonstrates no such expansion has occurred.

 * Misleading Funding Claims: The administration has misled the community regarding funds allocated to hire critical staff, leaving the facility ill-equipped while animals suffer.

 * Concealed Euthanasia Rates: Evidence indicates that the shelter is killing approximately three times more animals than what is publicly reported, hiding the true scale of the crisis from residents.

 * Defamation and Retaliation: Rather than answering to the public or welcoming oversight, leadership routinely resorts to retaliatory tactics—defaming advocates who question shelter practices and arbitrarily banning citizens from the facility. Most unacceptably, government officials have resorted to threatening members of the public with releasing confidential or intimidating lists ("UL list") to silence dissent.

With county leadership failing to respond or intervene, the responsibility falls squarely on us. Transparency cannot exist where intimidation and cover-ups thrive.

This is only a FEW things wrong with David’s “leadership”. 

We call upon county and state leadership and officials to take immediate action. Help us protect the animals, restore ethical governance, and remove David Fisher from his position at the Prince George's County Animal Shelter.
