Condemn the Anti-Israel, Terrorism-Sympathizing Lesson Plan

Condemn the Anti-Israel, Terrorism-Sympathizing Lesson Plan
The Issue
The New York State Education Department and PBS Broadcasting Company are subjecting children to biased, outrageous, anti-Israel content. This time, our children are being taught to sympathize with radical Islamic suicide bombers.
In “Dying to be a Martyr,” a lesson plan first circulated by PBS, high-school teachers are encouraged to show their students interviews with would-be Palestinian suicide bombers. The lesson teaches students to empathize with violent Palestinian terrorists who are willing to murder Jews in Israel and beyond.
The New York State Education Department removed the offensive lesson plan from its website after public pressure, but the Board has not commented on the issue. The lesson plan remains on PBS’ website and can be found here.
Join the American Jewish Congress in condemning the “Dying to be a Martyr” lesson plan and its sympathetic message toward Palestinian terrorism.
