Let’s be real here, PUBG is sewn into our hearts as one of the original battle royale games. With diverse maps, realistic gun-play and tactics, and different situations to fight in every match, we all love this game. It is not without its flaws, however, so I’m here to propose a fix to one of those flaws.  Third-person perspective (TPP) is how the game was originally developed, which is fine for casual games.

The competitive nature of ranked is diminished when people are able to wait in buildings, or behind trees, watching their opponent without ever being seen (third-person peeking). Tournaments and E-Sports are both very competitive, with players wanting to test their skills against some of the best. These are First-person perspective modes, so why isn’t ranked?

In it’s namesake, “ranked” is where competitive players want to climb the leaderboards, and prove themselves and their team that they have what it takes to perform at a higher level. This game has a huge learning curve, it would make sense for ranked to be FPP only, as those who have been adjusted to TPP, can move on to a higher level, with more skill involved.
