We went to Ottawa to discuss 9-8-8. It's important and we learned a lot. Our hopes are to pass Madi's law so 9-8-8 is needed less. It's just not a good idea to prescribe powerful mind altering drugs without a caregiver in place. Again, this is for new psychotropic drugs and is temporary until the drug is deemed safe to take. Often patients try three or four types before they find the right one or they decide it's not for them. In the meantime, they can experience suicidal ideation and be harmed or die. 

October 26th is Madisyn's Birthday. She would have been 31 on this earth but instead stays forever 27. She was a bright light, kind, caring and funny! She was a passionate hairstylist and uplifted a lot of people with her talents. I'm so proud and thankful to be her Mother❤️ My aim is to prevent others from knowing the pain of such a loss. I wish I was baking her a cake instead of writing this. It will be 1292 days without her. Thank you for supporting Madi's Law.
