The time comes once a year where summer is just around the corner and college students move out of their dorms. During this process many things have to be thrown out or left behind because they are not sensible to bring back to their childhood homes. The year that we were sophomores, we noticed that there were many bags of clothes that were being thrown in the trash. The more we thought about it, the more of a waste it seemed. These trash bags were just filling in the landfill and the clothes could be put to good use in the surrounding areas. This is why we want to create a petition for there to be clothing donation bins accessible in all college dorms at Providence College at all times in the year. We know that there is a large metal donation bin by Eaton street gate but that is not the most convenient for students and out of the way. We believe that if the students have a clear area where they can put their old clothes that they do not want anymore, they will follow suit and be a part of donating.  

This petition is for Providence College inserting clothing donation bins in all dorm buildings.
