Thank you for signing!

We hit a milestone this evening of 601 signatures! These include many from California, the rest of the United States and Australia, The United Kingdom, France, Canada, Sweden, and Paraguay.

This much response so quickly shows that is an issue which people deeply care about whether they are an adoptee, family member (birth or adoptive), birth parent, or concerned citizen. We strive in California to pass a clean bill to simply let adoptees have the same rights as all other citizens. Who Am I? Where do I come from? The language of SB1274, Eggman (now retired) is exactly what we want.

We have been sharing this petition with California Legislators, both Senate, Assembly and the Governor's Office. Many meetings both "live" and Zoom. There is an increased awareness and empathy.

We don't have a bill sponsor but will not stop until we do. This is the time of year when legislators consider bills to sponsor.

Here is a short YouTube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erHylYLHqXg&t=448s

For much more information we have just launched a website. It is a tremendous resource.  https://caallianceforadopteerights.org

If you would like to be even more active, please join California Alliance for Adoptee Rights (CAAR) on Facebook.

Feel free to continue sharing the petition. 441 shares so far.

No need to donate money.

I'll keep you updated! The original birth certificates were sealed 90 years ago. 50 years ago, the very first efforts to unseal them began. It is a monumental task and your support is so very needed and appreciated.

Paul
