To the Pen Argyl Area School District School Board:

We, the undersigned parents, guardians, and community members, respectfully request that the district provide transportation to and from Kids Express Daycare (385 Blue Valley Drive, Bangor, PA) for eligible PASD students.

We believe this request aligns with the District Policy 810, Pennsylvania School Code Section 1361, and Act 372, which allow transportation to schools within the district’s transportation boundary. While daycare facilities are not explicitly mentioned, the district already provides transportation to other daycare-based before and after-school programs within this boundary. Kids Express falls well within that distance (not exceeding 10 miles), and extending service here would ensure consistency and equality for all district families.

Denying Kids Express this service, places unnecessary hardship on working parents, disrupts kids’ routines, and most importantly seriously risks their growth, development, and well being during these crucial years.

Transportation is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. Families who live and pay taxes in PASD deserve the same opportunity to safe, consistent childcare and transportation.

We are not asking for special treatment, but for equal access, consistency with district policy, and compliance with state school code transportation requirements.

By signing this petition, we respectfully request the Pen Argyl Area School District School Board to reconsider its current stance and implement transportation to and from Kids Express beginning this upcoming school year (2025-2026).
