Students K-12 are having a academic burnout on the workload that teacher’s have been giving since COVID-19 hit the United States. It’s already hard enough now that we’re in a pandemic. This is making students stressed more than ever and online school still isn’t properly organized. Half of the students at the high school I am attending is failing and most have no choice but to stay home and stay online because their parents don’t want them to get the virus. There are students that still don’t have access to reliable internet, a laptop or any electronic device/resources to work with. The education department has to do better than this. Georgia Department of Education this is effecting students in a absolutely terrible way and students need the opportunity. This will give students the flexibility to complete their coursework but also focus on their physical and mental health as well as their families.
