Petition for Free Student Parking at Anoka High School

According to a report by the National Financial Educators Council, 22% of U.S. students worried about how they or their family will pay for school-related expenses.

Students shouldn’t have to pay just to park at the school they’re required to attend. For many, even a small fee adds real financial strain and makes an already stressful school experience harder.

Charging for parking ends up punishing students simply for showing up. It creates extra costs families may not be able to cover and adds to the pressures teens already face. It could also discourage attendance and make it harder for some students to participate fully in school life.

We are asking Anoka High School and the Anoka-Hennepin School District to remove parking fees and make parking free for all students. Education should never come with hidden costs.
