My life has not been a bed of roses - homelessness, empty stomachs, and cold nights, a few scenarios that I have lived through. It's devastating to see food being wasted, portrait-perfect, and edible, yet deemed unworthy and thrown away - especially when there are hungry eyes watching. Now, imagine a world where this could be avoided. A world where the workers at Raising Canes could be offered these meals for their hard work and dedication to the shifts they tirelessly accomplish day and night.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, 1.3 billion tons of food gets wasted or lost each year (FAOSTAT). That's enough to feed millions of hungry people multiple times over.

By providing free meals to the Raising Canes Crew per shift, we would significantly reduce food waste. More importantly, it would show the compassionate nature of the company towards its staff, especially for those who might be going through tough times - just as I did.

As an active aggrieved party, I understand the magnitude of food wastage and the brilliant solution it could serve to hunger issues - at least for the company staff. Let's put a stop to hunger.
