Provide Free Body Technologies for those With Wants, Needs, and Disabilities

The Issue

I am transgender. I understand how it feels to inhabit a body that does not align with your identity, desires, and needs. This petition aims to apply that understanding to a broader spectrum - individuals living with disabilities, those who are handicapped, and anyone who feels their body is hindering their access to a full and fulfilling life.

(CIDRAP, 2019) has estimated that at least 15% of the world's population lives with some form of disability. These statistics represent an enormous section of our society that might not be living their life to the fullest due to limitations enforced on them by their bodies.

Technological advancements today have the potential to alleviate a significant portion of these consequences. Innovations in prosthetics and body augmentation technologies have shown remarkable potential to improve the quality of life for those living with disabilities. Yet, the high cost of these technologies makes them inaccessible to many who need them.

Free access to these technologies can greatly benefit those who desire them. It could empower individuals with disabilities and handicaps to live freer, more fulfilling lives, and that's what we strive for.

We are calling for healthcare providers, technology companies, and governments around the world to provide these new body technologies free of cost for those who need them. The provision of new bodies should not be a privilege of the wealthy; everyone has the right to live in a body they feel comfortable in.

It's time for a change. Sign this petition to break down these physical barriers and allow every individual to thrive in a body that feels right for them. This is a basic human right that should be accessible to all regardless of financial status. Sign this petition and support those in need today.
