Provide equal recognition for Private Hospital Nurses!

Provide equal recognition for Private Hospital Nurses!
Why this petition matters
My name is Marek. I am a registered nurse in a private hospital. Throughout the pandemic, nurses have tirelessly supported the health and welfare of all Victorians, and without the extraordinary efforts by those in the private AND public sectors, the health system would collapse.
As they deserve, public sector nurses have seen an increasing level of support by health institutions and the State Government. Unfortunately, private sector nurses, who work just as hard, have been denied equal support and recognition.
We need the Victorian Government and health institutions to do the right thing: provide private nurses with the same level of support as public sector nurses.
The recent announcement that public sector nurses are to receive $3000 payments has highlighted the injustice against private sector nurses. This injustice has to end and now is the time.
This action is necessary to protect and care for the caregivers that look after us all. To ensure that our nurses, in whatever system they are employed, are treated equitably, I urge you to sign this petition so that health institutions and the Victorian government no longer discriminate between private and public sector nurses. Enough is enough.
Many thanks,
Marek
