Hello friends! Our petition has reached almost 1,900 signatures, that is wonderful news for the Flying Foxes. Our petition has been criticised by some as irrelevant because it has been supported by people that live outside of the local electorate. This may mean that it has less sway over local and state governments - but it is not true at the Federal Government level. And it is Federal law that protects the grey-headed flying foxes. This petition has mostly been contributed to by Australians; by Australians using their voices to stand up for Australian animals. That is the core business of the Australian Government, to stand up for the people of Australia, for our right to be heard, and for our right to a future that includes our native wildlife. International friends, your support is invaluable as well. I have said before, this is a global issue, one that should be the concern of every human being, and it is being played out on a small local stage. All levels of government need to know that we are watching. That we care. And that we will hold accountable any decision-makers that put the future of vulnerable species into greater risk. Thank you again, deeply, for your support. The link to my new video is included below. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=gjoNErDWBjc
