We, the undersigned citizens of Zambia, are deeply concerned about the rising cases of property fraud and scams taking place through unregulated online platforms, especially on social media such as Facebook and WhatsApp groups.

Too many Zambians have lost their hard-earned savings to fake property listings, fraudulent sellers, and land disputes. Trust in the real estate sector is being destroyed.

Our Demand

We call upon:

-The Zambia Institute of Estate Agents (ZIEA),

-The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, and

-The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development,

to take urgent action to:

1. Regulate all online property listings in Zambia.

2. Require property listings to be posted only on verified and authorized platforms.

3. Partner with secure, Zambian-built solutions like the (Yanga Mobile App), which already provides:

Verified property owner/agent accounts,

Transparent listings with photos, location, and contacts,

A safer alternative to Facebook groups and informal adverts.

Why This Matters

-Protect citizens from fraud.

-Create trust in the real estate market.

-Support government’s efforts in land administration and housing development.

-Empower genuine estate agents and property owners.

Our Call

We, the people, demand immediate action to protect citizens from fraud and to establish Yanga Mobile App, or similar regulated platforms, as the official channels for property listings in Zambia.
