We need to take action before it’s too late. These proposed social media age restrictions are not about giving parents more control, as we’re being told. I know for a fact that this is about restricting young people’s freedoms. In a recent WhoGov survey, over 60% of Australian parents opposed the idea of raising the social media age limit to 16. But the government and media want us to ignore that and focus on a few celebrities and conservative pub geezers who are far from representative of most Australians. Come on Government, you can do better. Listen to us.
This is just a fame game. A small group of people with their own interests are trying to control the majority. It’s more than just unfair—it’s a fight against free speech and youth autonomy. We cannot let them win. This is not the Australia we want, and we won’t let them turn it into a more controlled, restrictive society.
