Thank you for signing our petition for countywide Election Day Voting — Vote Centers — in Denton County at Change.org.

We hope you’ve taken the next step to draw attention to this issue by sharing the Change.org petition on social media or by email.  If you haven’t, please do that as soon as you can.  We are an extremely low-budget operation and the only way we have of getting our message out is through social media and email.  Your post or email to friends will be a big help in getting more people in our county to support this effort.

Once you've shared, the next step is to speak to the decision makers in person.

Right now, we’re organizing a group to speak briefly to in person to the Denton County Commissioners at their meeting on Tuesday morning, July 15.  Speaking to the commissioners who are the decision makers is important because it really shows the strength of voter demand for Vote Centers.

You’ll meet a group leader with a Voting Centers Now sign in the lobby at the Denton Administrative Courthouse between 8:30 and 8:45 am on July 15, then take the elevator to the Commissioner’s meeting room on the third floor.  

Your name will be called and you’ll talk for up to 3 minutes about why you support Vote Centers.  It’s perfectly fine to just give your name, address and say, “I support Vote Centers for Denton County,” then sit down, but if you want to say more that’s fine too.

You’ll be able to leave right after you speak if you wish to do so.  Everyone in the group should be finished by 10 am.

Once you sign up, you will get an email with a link to all the information you’ll need to find the Denton Administrative Courthouse off Loop 288 in Denton, get any background info you need, see a sample speech and prepare to speak.
