Cancel Runtime Fee! Unity Game Engine…

The Issue

I'm an asset developer, and I've been working on a big asset for almost 1.5 years. I spend 1-2 hours every day on it, and I'm passionate about making high-quality assets for the Unity community. But the news about the new runtime fee has made me sad and worried.

The new runtime fee is also causing many developers to consider quitting Unity altogether and moving to another game engine. This is a serious threat to the Unity community, as it could lead to a loss of talent and innovation.

There are many other game engines available, such as Unreal Engine, Godot, and Lumberyard. These engines offer many of the same features as Unity, but often at a lower price point, and without a runtime fee.

If Unity does not reverse its decision on the runtime fee, many developers will likely switch to other engines. This would be a major blow to the Unity community, and it would make it more difficult for Unity to attract new developers in the future.

I urge you to sign this petition and help us stop the new Unity runtime fee. Together, we can protect the future of Unity game development.
