Hi all,

First, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped spread the word and gather support for a crossing guard at Winkelman!

The school administration has been very helpful in outlining the next steps to turn this effort into a reality. We are now coordinating with the school, District 31, Village of Glenview and police department to work toward getting both proper signage and a dedicated crossing guard in place.

While we are still early in the process, we were very encouraged to hear the district is already reaching out to its private crossing guard provider to explore options in the event the Village is unable to provide additional coverage.

There is still work to be done, but this is meaningful progress. We will stay on top of the process and share updates as we receive them.
