近日，一头年幼的小象在马来西亚某公路上不幸被车辆撞死，这一事件在社交媒体上引发了广泛关注与痛心。它不是第一个，也不会是最后一个，除非我们采取行动。

In recent days, a baby elephant was tragically killed by a vehicle on a Malaysian road — a heartbreaking reminder that this is not an isolated incident. Unless we act, it won't be the last.

每年都有无辜的动物因穿越道路而被撞死。高速路穿过森林、保护区与象群栖息地，却缺乏足够的动物穿越警示标志、限速措施与公众意识教育，这是对自然生态的无声破坏。

Every year, innocent animals die trying to cross roads that cut through forests, reserves, and natural habitats. Many of these roads lack warning signs, speed control, and public awareness, making them deadly traps for wildlife.

为此，我们呼吁马来西亚政府及相关单位立即采取以下措施：

We urge the Malaysian government and relevant authorities to take the following actions:

1. 在野生动物出没频繁的区域增设“动物穿越”警示牌与限速标志
   Install visible wildlife crossing signs and speed limit indicators in high-risk areas.
2.  在保护区及象群活动路线附近建设减速带或其他限速装置
   Build speed-reducing infrastructure (e.g., rumble strips or speed bumps) near reserves and known animal routes.
3. 设立野生动物通道（如生态天桥、地道），保障动物安全穿越道路
   Fund and construct wildlife corridors (overpasses/underpasses) to ensure safe animal crossings.
4. 在学校、媒体与社区中加强环保教育，提升民众对人与自然和平共处的意识
   Launch public education campaigns to promote coexistence and respect for wildlife in schools, media, and communities.

我们希望借此请愿引起社会关注，并促使相关部门出台更加有力的保护政策，让悲剧不再重演。
