A new development offers real hope for the Long COVID community.

PolyBio Research Foundation has launched VIPER Diagnostics, the first phase of its Long COVID Cure Initiative. The goal is to rigorously evaluate and validate diagnostic tests for viral persistence and other key biological drivers of Long COVID. PolyBio says this work is meant to help move promising diagnostics out of the research world and into real clinical use. PolyBio also announced that $1.35 million has been deployed to UCSF to begin the program.

This matters because one of the biggest barriers in Long COVID research has been the lack of validated diagnostics. Without them, it is harder to identify the right patients, design better clinical trials, and test targeted treatments. For patients, this is encouraging news. It shows that serious researchers are continuing to push forward on the biology of Long COVID and the urgent need for real answers.

We need better diagnostics, better trials, and real treatments for people living with Long COVID.

Thank you for staying in this fight.
