This is dear to my heart because I not only guide for the fish but it’s what I love to do! It’s basically like shooting a deer in a high fence. Imagine being in a pool and being hooked and starved to death! That’s what these pay lakes are doing to these fish!

Trophy catfish are being taken from our public waters and placed into paylakes where they are caught repeatedly until death. These lakes often lack the proper conditions to sustain such large fish, leading to their suffering and demise. Our public waters are losing 5-10 thousand pounds of trophy fish multiple times a year due to this practice.
