I’m a proud Canadian from Ontario, and I believe in a united Canada built on respect, responsibility, and truth.

What’s happening in Alberta affects us all — not just the province itself, but the entire country. As conversations grow around autonomy and even separation, we risk ignoring something far more sacred: the treaty rights that were signed between the Crown and Indigenous Nations.

These treaties are not suggestions. They are legally binding, constitutionally protected, and foundational to what Canada is. No government, federal or provincial, has the right to undermine them for political gain.

Alberta is part of Canada, and Indigenous Nations are not bargaining chips. We must speak up — not just for provincial unity, but for justice, for reconciliation, and for every person who calls this land home.

Please join me in calling on our leaders to uphold treaty rights, defend national unity, and ensure no one province is treated as expendable. Canada must remain whole — and just.
