Protect the waterfront at "Stone Gables" 440 King Street from development

Protect the waterfront at "Stone Gables" 440 King Street from development
The Issue
440 King Street West (“Stone Gables”), IS NOW FOR SALE! Located just West of the Isabel Bader and Tett Centres, East of Kingston Penitentiary, it borders Kingston’s last undeveloped waterfront land. It's future is NOW at risk.
The second draft of Kingston's Official Plan designates the site as Institutional, which still permits development. We believe the lower waterfront lands must be protected as Open Space to preserve their natural character, Indigenous heritage, and public value, while still allowing the upper portion of the property to be used in a way that preserves it's historic buildings.
We are calling on Kingston City Council to direct the Planning Department to protect the lower waterfront from any future development.
PLEASE! ONLY KINGSTON FULL POSTAL CODE SIGNATURES MAY BE INCLUDED AND AS MANY PEOPLE FROM ANY HOUSEHOLD
Please help protect Kingston’s waterfront by signing this petition.
