We are a group of community members requesting that the Denver Department of Infrastructure (DOTI) follows its own final design shared with the community on August 14, 2024 and add physical protection between the bike lanes and car travel lanes along most of the corridor with protected bike lanes, except in front of the following commercial nodes: Sheridan Blvd to Xavier St and Utica St to Tennyson St, in alignment with a monthslong, community-outreach process, and longstanding city-wide plans and policies, like Denver’s Comprehensive Plan 2040, Denver Moves Everyone 2050, Vision Zero, Safe Routes to School, and Climate Action, as well as DOTI’s own policies to prioritize people, put safety first, and achieve mode-shift.
