Protect the safety from excessive speeders by adding a Traffic Light at the Intersection!
The Issue
Everyone who drives on Rte 248 by the Parryville Exit is always in immediate danger. The State Police typically only sit at one location. Even if for some reason they are at the other location the distance is so far apart, people speed 80mph because there are no stops signs or lights. Because of this it makes it nearly impossible to pull in or out of Parryville. There are constantly accidents at that location. Of course, the State police always blame the person pulling out instead of checking the speed of the other driver. The speed limit there is only 55 mph.
By adding a Traffic Light to that Intersection it will force traffic to slow down, causing a lot less accidents. Giving people the opportunity to safely pull in or out of Parryville or even Rock Hill.
The time to act is now because, I myself recently was in a massive accident at that intersection. I was pulling a concession trailer with a Chevy 2500, roughly 22,000 pounds. I pulled out, making a left towards Palmerton. A Dodge Challenger hit the front of the truck so hard it shoved it into the engine. The State Trooper immediately blamed me saying I pulled out in front of her. She was traveling at least a minimum of 80 mph. She ripped the front of the truck off and it got stuck to her car. She continued to drag the truck and trailer another 10-20 ft leaving skid marks from her car, my truck and my trailer. If the Trooper would have actually investigated the scene it was so obvious she hit me. My bumper was pulled out not shoved in, plus her car paint was on the inside of the truck. Her car wasn’t smashed in, it was pulled out. I now suffer from major head trauma from hitting my head off the driver window.
