There is a beloved robin who is a daily visitor to the Brecon Aldi. He arrives in the morning and then flies out before closing time and spends his day singing to the visitors of the store. He has become a symbol of joy and happiness for everyone who visits the store. This little bird, with its vibrant red breast and cheerful song, has touched our hearts and brightened our days. However, it is now under threat of extermination. It is unclear what the plans are for the Robin but it has been mentioned that the bird may be killed. 

Robins are protected species in the UK under The Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 (source: RSPB). Yet despite this protection, our local friend faces an uncertain future. We must rally together to ensure that this bird continues to bring joy to our community.

The presence of robins in urban areas like ours is not just delightful; it's also beneficial for local ecosystems. These birds help control insect populations (source: British Trust for Ornithology), contributing to a healthier environment for us all.

We urge Aldi and local authorities in Brecon to take immediate action - find humane solutions that protect both public health and safety as well as wildlife welfare. Let's stand together as a community united by love for this charming robin. I have contacted Aldi UK to ask for some clarification on what they are planning with the Robin - awaiting a response.
