This Parliamentary question is significant because attempts had been made to silence the campaign for #EdnasLaw so we hope it will prompt awareness and investigation of what is really going on under the pretence of concern for whistleblowers.

The APPG was set up to lobby for an Office of the Whistleblower, ie to bring the American rewards/incentives/bounty-hunting system to the UK.. Valid concerns about it and its secretariat WBUK have been dismissed. Whether its members are complicit or misled, they and all who endorse them are part of the problem, certainly not the solution.

Our previous update The Transatlantic Whistleblowing Gravy Train exposed how bad that system has been for whistleblowers and the public interest there, and how certain law firms have profited massively from it.

It’s no coincidence that WBUK was funded by one of those, Constantine Cannon and US lawyer Mary Inman has been prominent at many events with WBUK.  Sir Norman Lamb resigned from the APPG when he could not get answers about WBUK’s finances, citing his fundamental belief in transparency and accountability.   The questions remain unanswered.

Now it's time to send the gravy train lobbyists packing and to get the focus back to where it should always be - effective protection of ALL whistleblowers in ALL sectors, and therefore the public, by #EdnasLaw.
