Neuigkeit zur PetitionCall for Edna's Law and a public inquiry into whistle-blowingGosport Report: "Documents make it clear that concerns had been raised earlier, in 1988"

The bereaved Gosport families have had to fight hard for many years about the deaths of their loved ones. Families and Staff had all raised concerns.
We have not had time to read the entire report yet but Chapter 1 is: "Unheeded warnings, the nurses’ concerns and their context".
in 1991 nurses told management
" 4. That patients deaths are sometimes hastened unnecessarily".
Two more extracts from Chapter 1:
"Documents make it clear that concerns had been raised earlier, in 1988 (DOH702113, p8)"
"....the concerns of the nurses had been dismissed as “only a small group of night staff who are ‘making waves’”.
That attitude is precisely why we ALL need Edna's Law.
Because at Gosport the result of that attitude to whistleblowers was that hundreds more people died before they should have done.
It is difficult even to imagine the terrible anguish of the families reading just those few lines from Chapter 1 which confirm that their loved ones SHOULD NOT HAVE DIED when and how they did.
We are now preparing to publish the full details of Edna's Law in the next two weeks and with your support, we can and MUST get this onto the statute book - before another Gosport tragedy is allowed to happen.
Thank you for continuing to share this petition with as many people as possible.
