The Issue

The pathway through Galwally Woods is a cherished and popular local route providing access to the ancient woodland in Belvoir Park Forest.

Worryingly, recent developments suggest this access might be under threat.

Access to the natural environment should be protected.  Public rights of way promote health, well-being, and social interaction.

We call on Belfast City Council to utilise the powers set out in the Access to the Countryside (Northern Ireland) Order 1983 or any other powers to ensure that this vital path remains open and accessible to everyone.
