Meet my indigenous friends Apanyekrá

Hi my friend! I'm very happy to have your support, thank you very much! Your signature and all the support we are receiving from US citizens gives us strength to keep resisting in our territory. Today I want to emphasize I am not alone in this fight for the Cerrado, our savanna. You know, I am a small farmer, and there are many other traditional communities that I will speak about in further messages, but now I want tell you a bit about my fellow indigenous friends. April 19th is known as the Brazilian Indian Day. It is a date that is meant to remind us of our history of colonization and violence against our natives. Realizing that, we can start to correct our mistakes and cherish this incredibly rich tradicional culture, its wisdom and connection with nature. In the Cerrado, there are over 80 indigenous ethnic groups. I am sending you a video with the story of my friends of the tribe Apanyekrá. Their story is similar to the story of many other indigenous people. With your support, you are also helping them to keep their livelihood and culture alive.
