Just when our housing market in Minnesota is finally recovering, some lawmakers are considering changes to our Mortgage Interest Deduction (MID).

Any elimination or modification to the Mortgage Interest Deduction would impact nearly 2/3 of Minnesotans with a mortgage who rely on it.

In these challenging times when so many hard working Minnesotans are struggling to keep their homes, the loss of the MID benefit would be devastating. The deduction lowers the tax load for working and middle class families and makes it easier for Minnesotans to buy and stay in their own home.
