Protect Tanglewilde Farms 02: Say No to Overdevelopment

Protect Tanglewilde Farms 02: Say No to Overdevelopment
The Issue
Hi Local Residents of Conroe, Texas,
My name is Valerie Sterling, and I’m a resident of Tanglewilde Farms 02 Subdivision. My husband and I bought our home here four years ago because we love the quiet, rural character of this area. We’ve invested everything we have into this land for our four young children and their future.
If you’re familiar with the Waukegan Rd area, you know how much this region has already been overdeveloped. Unfortunately, there are plans to replat land in the middle of our neighborhood to allow 43 additional residential trailer lots, right up against my backyard where my children play.
Several property owners and I have already fought to defer this request at the first county commissioners meeting on the 5th. Now, as the next agenda approaches on the 26th, we are urgently seeking more support. I’m asking fellow community members—especially parents and neighbors who care about the character and safety of our area—to join us in this effort.
The Petition:
To: Montgomery County Officials and Hearing Authorities
We, the undersigned members of the Montgomery County community, respectfully request the denial of the replat request for Tanglewilde Farms 02 property owners.
While we may not live immediately adjacent to the property, we are concerned about the broader impact on our county and neighborhoods. Our concerns include:
Potential impact on property values and neighborhood stability
Increased traffic, congestion, and safety risks
Preservation of the established character and intended use of the area
The precedent this approval could set for future developments
The importance of thoughtful, community-centered planning decisions
Montgomery County’s planning and zoning decisions affect not just those living next to a property but the wider community that depends on responsible development and preservation of quality of life.
For these reasons, we respectfully urge Montgomery County to deny this application and uphold decisions that protect the community’s long-term interests.
We appreciate your careful consideration and support.
