Following the appointment of Sister Renee as Principal of Holy Name Convent, many past and present students have come forward to share similar experiences regarding her conduct throughout her years at the school.

Across multiple graduating classes, students and alumni have described experiences involving humiliation, emotional distress, fear, discouragement, and a lack of emotional support. The consistency of these testimonies has raised serious concerns among members of the Holy Name community about whether she is suited for a leadership position over the wellbeing and development of students.

We are calling for accountability, transparency, and a formal review of this appointment in the interest of protecting current and future students and ensuring that the school environment reflects the values of dignity, compassion, and care that students deserve.

This petition is not rooted in hatred toward the school or the Catholic faith, but in the belief that students should feel safe, supported, encouraged, and respected within their educational environment.
