A large scale housing development would fundamentally alter the nature of the area, replacing fields and natural habitats with urban expansion and placing increasing pressure on the features that make the village unique. Residents are deeply concerned that once this character is lost, it cannot be recovered. Shenstone Wood End is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including rabbits, badgers, bats and numerous bird species, all of which rely on the area's natural habitats for survival.
