Massachusetts families are under threat. A new set of bills—H.2554 and S.1557—would eliminate religious exemptions for school vaccines, forcing parents to choose between following their faith and accessing education for their children.

For generations, our laws have recognized the importance of religious freedom. These bills would overturn that protection. If passed, families with deeply held spiritual convictions would be pushed out of public life—barred from schools, daycare, and even many private educational settings, simply because they won’t compromise their beliefs.

Many responsible, loving families in Massachusetts practice their faith and make thoughtful medical choices based on both their values and the best interests of their children.
