Protect Religious Freedom in Our Schools

The issue

Protect Religious Freedom in Our Schools
Freedom of religion is not optional. It is a fundamental right protected by Australian law.

Under the Queensland Human Rights Act and the Australian Constitution, children attending Queensland state schools have the right to practise their faith, including wearing a religious cross.

As a parent, I will not accept children being pressured, bullied, or told to hide their beliefs to make others more comfortable. A small religious cross harms no one, threatens no one, and does not interfere with learning.

I refuse to allow my child, or yours, to be approached and told "to hide that thing" or "remove it". Other children are continuously showing their cultural beliefs clothing and markings. Why are Christians being told to hide theirs?

That is not equality.
That is not tolerance.
And it is not lawful.

Religious freedom must be applied fairly and consistently.
One rule for all, or none at all.

If we allow faith to be pushed out of public life, we weaken the very freedoms this country was built on.

I will always stand up for:

Parents’ rights
Children’s rights
Religious freedom
The rule of law
We do not apologise for our beliefs. We defend them.
